Grades

The formula to compute the grade is
    grade = max(0.2 * homework + 0.3 * midterm + 0.5 * final, final)

Even if you count on getting the overall grade with only the final, you should still turn in all your homework. Past experiences reveal that it is nearly impossible to get a good grade in the final without having first done the homework.

You can check your grade online via WebCT

Cool linear circuit experiment from MAE171a

Check out the following linear circuit experiment and the accompanying lecture from MAE171a "Mechanical Engineering Laboratory I" (prepared by Professor Raymond de Callafon)

You will really need to master all the material from MAE140 to perform the experiment successfully!
