IMPORTANT: If a problem asks you to solve it using mesh analysis, use nodal analysis instead. Also, you are not required to use MATLAB or OrCAD, just compute the answer by hand or use a calculator. - Homework #4 (due 10/30/14): 3.2, 3.4, 3.9, 3.11, 3.17(a),(c),(d), 3.23, 3.24, 3.25, 3.92, 3.96. Solutions here
IMPORTANT: If a problem asks you to solve it using nodal analysis, use mesh analysis instead. Also, you are not required to use MATLAB or OrCAD, just compute the answer by hand or use a calculator. - Homework #5 (due 11/13/14): 4.2, 4.7, 4.23, 4.27, 4.30, 4.31, 4.35, 4.36, 4.37, 4.43. Grades
The formula to compute the grade is
    grade = max(0.2 * homework + 0.3 * midterm
+ 0.5 * final, final)
Even if you count on getting the
overall grade with only the final, you
should still turn in all your
homework. Past experiences reveal that
it is nearly impossible to get a good
grade in the final without having
first done the homework.
You can check your grade online via Ted
Cool linear circuit experiment from MAE171a
Check out the following linear circuit experiment and the
accompanying lecture from MAE171a "Mechanical Engineering
Laboratory I" (prepared by Professor Raymond de Callafon)
You will really need to master all the material from MAE140 to
perform the experiment successfully!
